Effects of Ag Nanoparticles on Zinc Oxide Photocatalytic Performance

We used a sol–gel spin coating technique to synthesize nanocomposite thin films based on zinc oxide (ZnO) loaded with silver nanoparticles (NPs). tested these ZnO/Ag NPs photocatalysts, thickness of about 100 nm, for the photodegradation indigo carmine dye solution. The study focused effects Ag ZnO matrix as well impact their concentration photocatalytic performance nanocomposite. also highlighted high stability nanocomposites. This work is contribution in search non-toxic film photocatalysts that usable under solar radiation treatment contaminated wastewater. Innovation field heterogeneous photocatalysis requires use resource efficient results terms performance.
